CJ's adds Focus ST & F-150 EcoBoost project cars!

We love Mustangs, especially the new 2015 Mustang, but, while we wait for that to hit the market, we wanted some new and different projects to tackle.

After the overwhelmingly positive response we've received to our initial Focus ST and F-150 videos, we thought a brand new Ford Focus ST and a new Ford F-150 EcoBoost would be the perfect new projects!

CJ Pony Parts took delivery of our new Focus ST and F-150 EcoBoost on Thursday and, after the crowd they attracted dispersed, Bill introduced our new projects. Here's a few more details on our two new project cars:

2014 Ford Focus ST

Our Race Red Ford Focus ST is a fully-loaded ST3 model. It comes with the upgraded wheels, RECARO Full-Leather Heated Seats, HID Headlights, LED exterior lighting, navigation system, SiriusXM satellite radio, 10-speaker Sony speaker system with subwoofer and SYNC with MyFordTouch.

It's powered by the 2.0L EcoBoost inline four cylinder engine that makes 252 horsepower with 270 ft/lb of torque. It comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, and we wouldn't have wanted anything else. After driving the new Focus ST a little bit, we've found out that it truly is a thrill and can't wait to get some mods to the engine and handling installed (see more below), and have an even better driving experience.

Some plans for our Focus ST include a new exhaust, suspension upgrades, a cold air intake, a new shifter, appearance upgrades and much more! As more new products come on the market for the Focus ST, we'll surely be adding them to the Ford Focus ST section of the CJ Pony Parts website and get them installed on this beautiful Focus ST.

2013 Ford F-150 Limited with EcoBoost

The new F-150 came in a beautiful Ruby Red finish and is the fully loaded Limited model. The Limited model of the F-150 is the highest trim level, coming better equipped than the King Ranch and Platinum editions. It's so well equipped, in fact, that few options are even available--everything is standard! Our truck came with HID headlights, remote start, power heated mirrors, reverse sensing system with review camera, fog lamps, power running boards, 22-inch polished aluminum wheels, SYNC with MyFordTouch, SiriusXM, custom leather seats with heating and cooling features and much more.

It's powered by the 3.5L EcoBoost V-6, which features direct injection and twin turbochargers, and puts out 365 horsepower and 420 ft/lb of torque. Since it's introduction in 2011, the EcoBoost has proved immensely popular with customers, accounting for over 400,000 sales as of November 2013 and over 40% of the engines sold in the Ford F-150. For us, it was a must have, so we can show our F-150 customers how they can modify it to get even more power. The EcoBoost is only available paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Our new F-150 is also 4-wheel drive.

We love the exterior of our truck, so we don't have too many plans for modifications, outside of some new wheels. However, our EcoBoost engine going to get some work, and is going to become even more powerful through a combination of upgrades. Keep checking back to see what our plans are and how big of a boost they give to our new EcoBoost.
