But first, let's take a look at our team member's new toy. It's a Molten Orange 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and it's about as fully loaded as you can get. Of course, it all starts with the 1.6L turbocharged, direct injection EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine with 197 horsepower and 214 ft./lb. of torque and the standard 6-speed manual transmission. It also comes with dual exhaust, fog lights, power everything, custom floor mats with a unique Fiesta ST logo, push button start, custom lighting, climate control, Ford's SYNC system with MyFord Touch, Sony audio system, heated seats and more!
Our Fiesta ST was loaded up a bit more. It has the Recaro Leather Trimmed seats, navigation and a power moonroof, to name a few of the additions. However, most Ford Fiesta STs are pretty well equipped to begin with, and very few options are even available - ours isn't missing too many of the available options!
After taking it for a first spin, Bill remarked that the EcoBoost 4-cylinder definitely packs a punch, thanks to 21 pounds of boost. Bill described the feel of the Fiesta ST as "scrappy," and said the suspension was even firmer than it's big brother, the Focus ST. He also felt it even handled better than the factory Focus ST, which is pretty high praise considering how well that car handles.
Since our 2014 Ford Fiesta ST is employee owned, we don't expect to do much beyond the basic bolt-on modifications. However, we got underway pretty quickly with the addition of a Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust. While the owner of this Fiesta ST already put the system on, Bill's video gives you a nice overview of the system and some sound clips of this great sounding exhaust.
