For this year's CAD, the weather couldn't have been better. The sky was dominated by the sun, with a few clouds here and there and perfect temperatures. By 6:30 a.m., well before the show even started, cars began to stream into the parking lot to claim their spots and, soon, several hundred cars were here, all before CAD officially started at 9 a.m.
By the time the show got going, the parking lot was packed! With the recent expansion of CJ's product lines, we had a much bigger turnout and a more varied turnout than ever before. While we had a wide selection of Ford Mustangs, including many new 2015 models, we also included a large number of Ford Focus STs, Ford Fiesta STs, Ford F-150s and even a few classic Ford Broncos. All were cleaned up and looking fantastic for the day, and fellow owners and visitors alike spent much of their day checking out all of the different models on display.
All of the participants were entered into our popular vote car show (see photos of the winners on our Facebook page!), and each received a CJ's goodie bag, which included the popular CAD t-shirt, of which we think the 2015 version is our best yet! As always, the CJ's Prize Wheel was a huge hit, and, even if you didn't get a goodie bag for entering the car show, nobody went home empty handed. Shirts and hats were popular prizes, along with dozens of other options.
As always, the other big highlight of Customer Appreciation Day is the FREE FOOD!! Throughout the morning, coffee, orange juice and donuts were in everyone's hands, while the afternoon featured free hot dogs and Rita's Italian Ice! Needless to say, nobody went away hungry.
While thanking our customers is important to us, we also seek to contribute to our community, and Saturday's show was another perfect opportunity! As in years past, CJ Pony Parts made another sizable donation to the Central Dauphin High School chapter of the Four Diamonds Fund. This year's donation was another $20,000! The Four Diamonds Fund also honored CJ Pony Parts for more than $150,000 in donations over the years that we've been supporting them at CAD.
Without you, our loyal customers, we couldn't have even had this event. It's your enthusiasm, participation and constant support that's made this event so successful for the last 15 years, and a car show unlike any other. THANK YOU!!
We also couldn't manage to put on an event like Customer Appreciation Day without the support of the entire CJ Pony Parts team. Many CJ's employees put in some long hours and did a lot of hard work to plan and prepare for the event. The Four Diamonds chapter from Central Dauphin High School has also been an integral part of CAD for many years now, and each of their volunteers were key in helping us prepare for the event and supporting the event throughout the day.
