The SEMA Show is the largest automotive specialty products trade event in the world, taking place annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Participating in the event will be countless industry leaders, including many of the brands you can find at CJ Pony Parts, and over 50,000 domestic and international buyers.
Alongside thousands of new parts introduced at the show, attendees are provided with educational seminars, product demonstrations and special events. These additional opportunities will ensure that CJ Pony Parts remains on the cutting edge of the automotive industry, which we can then bring back to you, our valued customers.
Also at SEMA, Ford plans to showcase 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans, some of which have been recently featured in Ford's SEMA 2013 "Dreamcase." Among these 57 showcased automobiles will be Mustang show cars, modified by some big names and aftermarket companies like Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire and 3dCarbon. As if new parts and custom vehicles weren’t enough to look forward to, Ford will also be making several exciting announcements, including one from Ford Racing regarding their 2014 racing program.
One of the cars featured in Ford’s Dreamcase and that will debut at SEMA 2013 is Hollywood Hot Rods 2014 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. This Mustang project car set out to challenge all the supercars, redesigning some key elements, like the car’s roof and rear section, but maintaining a true, classic Mustang style.
Hollywood Hot Rods’ convertible features more than just an asthetic flare, with a Ford Racing Whipple supercharger and Banks Straight-Shot Water-Methanol injection system, giving the 5.0-liter V8 under the hood an estimated 750 horsepower.
Another favorite from Ford’s Dreamcase is Vortech’s Supercharged Mustang. This “Project Yellow Jacket” was created by Vortech Superchargers and Neil Tjin, and features a Webasto custom electronic sunroof, 3dCarbon’s Boy Racer kit, a carbon-fiber cowl induction hood and other carbon accents from TruFiber, and a custom paint supplied by DuPont. The engine is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, with a Vortech V-3 Si supercharging system, producing 605 horsepower.
