Thanks for another great Customer Appreciation Day!

Thanks for another great Customer Appreciation Day!

Did you have as much fun at CAD 2013 as we did?

Customer Appreciation Day (CAD) is one of our favorite days of the year. We get to meet countless CJ customers, watch as a sea of Mustangs fills our lot, and donate thousands to a wonderful charity! This year was no different, and we were impressed at each and every one of the nearly 400 Mustangs that attended!

With your help, we were able to donate $30,000 to the Four Diamonds Fund this past Saturday at CAD 2013. It’s through your overwhelming support with donations, t-shirt purchases, and Premium Parking Permits that we were able to donate such an amazing amount, and the Four Diamonds Fund and us here at CJ’s are truly humbled by everyone’s generosity.

We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather for CAD 2013! There was a slight breeze in the air, which kept everyone cool as 386 Mustangs rolled into the CJ lot, and hundreds more CJ fans participated in the day’s events. While the DJ played some great music, everyone walked around and enjoyed the car show, voting for who they thought deserved to place in each of the categories.

Several of our vendors were here, including Ford Racing, Silverhorse racing, TMI and Scott Drake, to show off their latest products. There was also our usual Kids Zone, which featured face painting, horse rides, and Huffy the Clown. And of course, CAD’s famous prize wheel was back, where CJ customers could take a spin and win free prizes from our vendors!

New this year was our "Guess the horsepower" contest, where attendees were given the chance to guess what horsepower two Mustangs, CJ's Gotta Have It Street and Bill Tumas' CJ Pony Rally Mustang, pulled on their dyno runs. Gotta Have It Race maxed at 395 HP and the 2011 GT Rally Mustang got to 594 HP.

The Winners

It wouldn’t be CAD without the car show! With nearly 400 Mustangs lined up around the CJ Pony Parts and Service buildings, there were plenty to admire! After all the votes were cast and counted, thirteen Mustangs were crowned winners, including the Best of Show:

LIVE Install

Our live install by CJ Pony Service was such a hit last year, we decided to do one again for CAD 2013! Bill and the CJ tech, RK, worked on a 2011 GT to install new Baer brake rotors and a JLT cold air intake kit. The cold air intake was in a Kona Blue finish and will give the 2011 GT a boost of 24-30 rear wheel horsepower. The Baer EradiSpeed-Plus 14" Rear and Front Brake Rotors come in a size larger than stock that still works with the OEM calipers, which results in an increased performance by virtue of the augmented leverage of the larger rotor. Watch CJ's install video for more information on how to install these parts in your 2011-2014 Mustang.

Thank You!

CJ’s Customer Appreciation Days would be nothing without you, OUR CUSTOMERS! It’s with your participation and enthusiasm that makes CAD a car show like no other! We would also like to thank our vendors and employees for all of their help on the day of CAD, along with all the hard work it took planning and gearing up for it. We’d also like to extend our gratitude for the help of the volunteers from Central Dauphin High School’s Four Diamonds chapter, along with the employee family members who volunteered, as well. It’s a busy day for everyone involved, and we wouldn’t be able to bring you the very best without all of the huge behind the scenes efforts. A special thanks goes out to:

- Huffy the Clown (entertainer/sound equipment)
- Glenn Hill (DJ/announcer)
- West Hanover Fire Dept./Fire Police

We hope you had as wonderful a day as we did this year at CAD 2013, and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support of CJ Pony Parts. Here’s to many, many more Customer Appreciation Day’s, and we’ll see you at next year’s!
