Upgrade your New Edge with a new LED Third Brake Light

If you own a 1999-2004 Mustang, glance at the third brake light, mounted on the trunk. If it looks faded and cracked, it might be time to replace it with one of these LED Third Brake Lights.

The standard Third Brake Light in the New Edge Mustangs, made from 1999-2004, is prone to this kind of wear, and replacements are either rather expensive or hard to find. The third brake lights in special models, like the Bullitt, are often in even worse shape, since they don’t have a wing, which protects the third brake light to some degree on V6 and GT models. However, the Ultra Clear LED Third Brake Light and the Smoked LED Third Brake Light each offer reasonably priced and great looking replacement alternatives, so you can easily get a new, great looking third brake light on your Mustang.

In this video, Bill demonstrates how to install the Smoked LED Third Brake Light onto a 1999 GT Mustang in CJ Pony Service. As you’ll see, the installation is very simple, only requiring a few hand tools and taking only 20-25 minutes. It’s just a few minutes for a much nicer look for your New Edge Mustang–totally worth it!
