Upgrade the underhood look of your 2005-2013 Mustang!

Upgrade the underhood look of your 2005-2013 Mustang!

When we started planning Gotta Have It Street, we were envisioning a head turning, jaw dropping Mustang that performs as good as it looks. To achieve that great look under the hood, we needed Scott Drake’s billet/carbon fiber engine caps and dipstick handles.

Scott Drake offers a full line of underhood dress-up engine caps and dipstick handles that fit all 2005 and newer Mustangs.  CJ Pony Parts offers these engine caps in kits, so you can easily upgrade everything at once for your specific Mustang. Six different Scott Drake billet/carbon fiber engine cap kits are available:

Each billet/carbon fiber engine cap can also be purchased individually: Just check out the Underhood Dress-Up category on the CJ Pony Parts website!

Scott Drake also offers several billet oil dipstick handles: One for 2005-2013 V6s, another for 2005-2013 GT/GT500 Mustangs, and an oil dipstick handle just for 2011-2013 GTs.

Gotta Have It Street received the Scott Drake billet/carbon fiber versions of the oil cap, washer fluid cap and coolant cap, plus a a billet oil dipstick handle. As you can see in the video, they look great on Gotta Have It Street, too!

There’s also a beautiful billet aluminum battery hold down clamp available from Scott Drake for 2005-2012 Mustangs, but we just can’t use it on Gotta Have It Street, since the battery is already covered by another cover in the engine.

This week’s install video features Rick showing how easy it is to install these engine caps and a dipstick handle onto Gotta Have It Street. This install process was very easy, requiring one tool and about 10 minutes. They will install the same on each of the 2005-2013 Mustang models. Enjoy!

Special thanks to Scott Drake for the parts!

I read a comment on your website from a customer who installed these caps. He said they did not contain real carbon fiber. Is this true?

Hi Eric: That is true. Several of the products do have notes on their product pages saying that it is not real carbon fiber, just an aluminum insert that has a carbon fiber look.
