2013 Mustang Adds Track Apps!

Yesterday, after learning about the new engine for the 2013 GT500, we find out about the latest change for the new Mustang–Track Apps! This new, extremely useful technology should be making its way into all Mustangs for 2013, from the base V6 models, all the way up to the Boss 302 and, according to several of our sources, is a whole lot cooler than anyone expected.

These apps appear on a 4.2″ LCD screen that will be inserted between the gauges and will have at least two modes: Gauge Mode and Track Apps. The Gauge Mode will offer pretty standard items, like fuel economy calculations and trip computers, along with some more advanced items, like displaying the car’s fuel/air ratio, boost/vacuum, cylinder head temperatures, inlet air temperature and much more. Meanwhile, the Track Apps help Mustang owners keep tabs on their times and speeds, and let them to see their 0-60 mph, 0-100 mph, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times, and offers an automatic start or countdown start feature. It also features an accelerometer and has a setting that captures braking performance.

Between this, and the revised styling on the 2013 model, the 2013 Ford Mustang is definitely a car you won’t want to miss!
