Iacocca Mustang turns up in pawn shop!

The owners of American Jewelry and Loan, the store featured on TruTV’s Hardcore Pawn, recently obtained a rare and expensive Ford Mustang–a 2009.5 Lee Iacocca Edition Mustang! This car was designed by Metalcrafter’s in California to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Lee Iacocca’s designing the original 1964.5 Mustang, and only 45 were created. The Hardcore Pawn shop ended up with Car #11.
The article wasn’t clear on why the original owners of the car decided to sell it to the pawn shop, but they managed to only collect $66,000 for the car. Admittedly, they didn’t pay anything for it–they won it in a contest at a casino. American Jewelry and Loan has it listed on their website for $175,000, but it remains to be seen whether they can obtain that, being that the car was originally listed at $89,950.
Take a look at the video of the episode featuring this sale–the video is cued up to see the Mustang’s sale. If you’re interested in purchasing the car for yourself, visit the American Jewelry and Loan website.
