CJPonyParts.com is NEW & IMPROVED!
Posted on 02. Dec, 2010 by Andy in News
Just in time for the holidays, we are excited to announce that our website, www.cjponyparts.com, has gotten an upgrade! While it will still look similar, you can be sure that your #1 Mustang Parts and Accessories source has gotten some serious “under the hood” improvements to make your online shopping experience even better.
What’s new:
Customer Reviews – Each part on our website will now feature a customer review tab that will allow you to submit your opinion of the part in a comment and/or a 5-star rating scale. Let everyone know which parts are the best and why!
New Parts Categories – At the top right of our page, you will notice a new drop down menu with our New Parts categories, broken down by year range. Quickly find the hot new parts on our website, so you can be the first to get that “must have” Mustang add-on.
TONS of New Parts – We are working all the time to bring you the best new vendors and products for your Mustang. Over the last few months we have added tons of parts from new vendors like American Racing Headers and American Autowire, as well as working on completing current vendor lines like Scott Drake and Wheel Vintiques.
Sign Out Feature – We listened to our customer requests, and have added a sign out feature for your account. When you are done shopping on CJ’s website, you have the added security of knowing your account is off until you are ready to come back next time.
What’s improved:
Checkout Page – We have made our checkout page much cleaner looking to help your checkout process go smoother. Each step of the checkout page is laid out in an easy to read, standardized format, so that your can be sure everything is good before we process your order.
Calculated Shipping Charges – Know exactly how much you will be paying to get your order to you, with our brand new calculated shipping charges. When you choose an expedited shipping method or international shipping, we can tell you exactly how much your order’s shipping cost will be, before your even hit “Submit My Order Now”.
Improved Left Navigation – CJ Pony Parts has made it even easier to browse our entire site, with a better formatted left navigation. No more trouble keeping a menu open while navigating. Our easy to use fly-out categories let you find exactly what you want to see without hassle.
More Items Per Page – We have doubled the amount of parts you see per page! Cut down on shuffling through tons of item pages with our increased page results: 16 items per page instead of eight!
More Item Pictures – You asked for it, so we are working on it! You will start to see A LOT MORE part images online. We understand that it is difficult to buy that replacement hardware or new bumper cover without seeing what it looks like first. We already have images on more than half of our active products, but we will continue to get new pictures online, so you can be sure that what you are getting is what you want.
Coming SOON:
Detailed Order History Page – We already have heard great feedback on our order history page online, but we know it can get even better! We plan to offer a more detailed history of orders, along with better explanations of what is going on with open orders or back orders. Look for this update soon!
Rewards Program – What’s better than getting your Mustang parts at amazingly low prices with Free Shipping? Getting rewarded for buying them! CJ Pony Parts is still working on an unnamed rewards program, but come next year, you will be able to rack up rewards points on all the purchases you make! You will be able to use these points on tons of great deals and specials, all aimed at saving you even more money on the Mustang parts & accessories you buy!
New Payment Options – We have been working hard to give you even more options to pay for the parts you want and need. Early next year, CJ Pony Parts plans to offer you the ability to pay for your orders with a PayPal account. We will also offer the use of Google Checkout, so that you can order your parts with ease through this growingly popular shopping tool from Google.
Improved Site Search – Search engine tools on the web keep getting better and better, and with CJ Pony Parts you can expect these same great improvements on our site search! We plan to offer increased drill-down options to help you get to the parts you want to see, even faster.

You need to add more pictures to the site. Lots of items don’t have an accompanying photo.

We are currently addressing that issue and made mention of it in the post. Over half of our products already have images, and we plan to keep adding more every day!

You still forgot that a mustang was built from 74-78. There are a lot of people out there that own a mustang from those years as well as other years. It’s a shame more supplies don’t realize it.

Unfortunately, there are almost no vendors reproducing or selling 1974-1978 Mustang parts. The few parts that are available fit outside that year range as well, so we carry them inside our other online catalogs.

Why can I not access my account anymore?
What happened to the wish list?
I was using it to keep track of items I bought & need and nice to have.
No like

I am not able to recreate a timeout issue.
You should still be able to log into your account, just not access your order history yet. We are working on getting the order history back up ASAP, but you can call 1-800-888-6473 today until 5pm EST to check the status of an order.
We have decided to take down the wist list functionality due to frequent problems. We are currently working on a much smoother “save cart” feature that should be out in the near future.

Will you make the new “save cart” visible by others? I liked being able to tell people to look at my wishlist for x-mas, birthday, anniversary, father’s day, etc.
I wish you’d organzie by sub years. When looking for a part for a ’69 I don’t need to see 15 pages of parts for all 64-73 Mustangs. Look at Dallas Mustang for an example to filter down further. Maybe that’s part of the upcoming drill down?
Still loving the free shipping. CJ has become my primary source for everything now!

We are still working on the “save cart” feature, but for now we have re-installed the wish list feature.
Our new search will offer a deeper filter just like you described. We are working hard to get this to our customers as soon as possible.
Thanks for making us your #1 Mustang parts supplier! We value your business and input!

What happened to the wishlist section? I had a lot of parts saved to it. Would love to see it come back! Other than that this site is great!

We have re-installed the wish list feature on our site. You should be able to see any saved wish lists you had before we upgraded the site.

There should be a sort function for specific years. Like 1969.
