Steve Saleen seems to have found a nice home with his new performance car company, SMS Supercars. Steve and his team at SMS Supercars have managed to create two flat-out AMAZING aftermarket versions of Ford’s new 2011 5.0-liter muscle car champion. Meet the SMS 3024V and SMS 302SC Mustangs!
The SMS 3024V is the naturally aspirated option, featuring the 2011 4V 5.0-liter V-8 engine. This mean pony kicks out 440 horsepower with a solid 400 pound-feet of torque, giving it a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds, and a quarter mile time of 13.5sec @ 116mph. These numbers are achieved through multiple upgrades to the stock 5.0L Mustang, including a high-flow exhaust, a top-of-the-line air management system, upgraded pulleys and a high performance calibration.
Your next option, the SMS 302SC, is a truly magnificent specimen of power, style and performance. SMS took the 3024V, and bolted on their custom SMS 296 Twin Screw Supercharger and intercooler. These additions kick it up a notch, producing a whopping 535 horsepower, along with 450 pound-feet of road-ripping torque. Other additions that help this beast produce all of its power include upgraded fuel injectors, a remote external heat-exchanger and a dual-path cold air induction system. The SMS 302SC easily puts down a 0 to 60 time of 4.2 seconds, and zooms through the quarter mile in 12.1sec @ 119mph.
Aside from the options that set these aftermarket muscle cars apart, there are tons of exterior, interior and performance options available on both. Here are some of the amazing options that come standard on both the SMS 3024V and the 302SC:
Features:
-6-Speed Manual Transmission (Automatic also available)
-SMS Signature Series Body Kit
-SMS Signature Series S4 High-Performance Suspension
-ABS Cross-Drilled Brake Rotors with High-Performance Brake Pads
-SMS Signature Series 20″ Wheels with Pirelli PZero tires
-SMS Custom interior package
Both SMS Mustangs will be available in a coupe or convertible body style. The SMS 3024V will start at $54,990.00, while the SMS 302SC will start at $64,990.00. Above these models, there is a super-aggressive 2011 Mustang in the works at SMS Supercars, being called the SMS 351X. I can only imagine the amount of power that pony will put out!

the only ugly thing on the car is the headlights, I like the regular headlight better than the HID’s, but thats just me, I like black lights and grilles

A stock 5.0 with 3.73′s can turn a 12.8, what’s the deal?

My guess is that the times they posted are safe estimations of what each car can do. I bet if you get them on the drag strip, you will find better numbers for both.
Ford did the same thing when announcing the new 2011 GT gets 412 horsepower. Everyone who dyno’ed them got better, consistent results.
