A simple man and his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang

A simple man and his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang

Usually on our blog, we like to talk about our new parts, our sales, projects that our service department works on or news stories from around the web. Today, we want to tell a great story about a customer that loves his Mustang and his daughter that loves him for it.

Krista H. from West Virginia recently emailed us with a story about her father, William. She describes him as, “a very simple guy, single dad, hard working.” Using mostly parts bought from us, William has taken two different Mustangs and built one restored 1969 Mach 1 Mustang that he can now proudly call his own. He put in long hours, working at the restoration in his spare time, while still working hard to support his family.

“He worked night and day, sometimes not sleeping at all just to finish it,” said Krista. “He built it in an old garage that is barely standing in our back yard with every penny he has made.”

All of us here at CJ Pony Parts love hearing a good story from a happy customer, but it is a real treat when a child or other family member wants to show their appreciation for the Mustang enthusiast in their life. Krista wanted to tell her father’s story, and we are happy to re-tell it to all of you. We also want to thank her dad for being a great customer, and hope that he keeps up his interest in Mustangs for years to come! We can all agree that it is a great hobby and family to be a part of.

Enjoy the fruits of your hard work, William! Make sure to take Krista out for a ride or two in that great looking Mustang!

We saw this car being assembled one piece at a time, I never thought it would turn out as beautiful as it is, when you walk up to the car it’s “show room quality” I know William personally and he is a great guy and so is his car, he is a mustang man for sure, We are proud Greenbottom West Virginian’s.

That’s really awsome, I just bought a 66 and it is pretty much just a body. This is my first restoration, and reading this story just gives me more fuel for my fire that I have to get mine on the road and running. Thanks for sharing, and I hope mine looks half as good as yours does.
