Mustang’s modern 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V-8 uses advanced engineering with features like Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) and all-aluminum construction to deliver 412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque.

At the same time, fuel economy is class-leading: up to 26 mpg highway. Every aspect of the engine was designed to lower weight and improve durability while ensuring power output exceeded the demands of Mustang buyers.
